One of my pass times is to play video games. The games I play are usually based on military events or history. An example of this is Hearts of Iron IV. This is a grand strategy game, based on World War II. This game includes historical things such as the same tanks and planes used in World War II. This game attracts because it puts me in the role of power to create an empire. I also like the games from the Total War series. Total war creates military strategy games in different time periods. My favorite of these games is Napoleon: Total War. This game is centered around Napoleon and his wars. This game includes politics, economics, and real-time battles. These combinations of features make it fun to play from many different sides. These games teach about history and give me something to do.

Thesis statement

Pigs have a big symbol in LOTF. The pigs always seem to be the topic someway. The pigs symbolize civilization and order. "They knew very well why he hadn't: because of the enormity of the knife descending and cutting into living flesh; because of the unbearable blood." (Golding 31) This is what happened when Jack hesitated to kill the pig.  This shows that at this point in the story that civilization and order are still intact. When Jacks hesitates to harm a living creature; he refuses to leave order for the time being. The pigs are still unharmed but have been threatened. Immediately after Jack hesitated order begins to fall apart. The order does not completely leave but is less stable. The more pigs killed, the more savage the hunters become. The more pigs killed the more order and good ideals slip away.

Cade - LOTF Brownyn- Reading Response to Lord of The Flies

Vocabulary

There once was a boy named Arthur. Arthur came from a small town in England. Arthur came up in a wealthy family. Arthur was lucky enough to go to Oxford. His father was a duke and served in the military. Arthur loved his parents dearly. He wanted to see them as much as possible. He often sent letters asking for provisions . Life at the university was tough. The provisions would make life that much easier. In these provisions were some bread, books, cookies, and extra robes.           Arthur went to Oxford with lofty ambitions for life. He wanted to become a great general. He wanted to lead the British troops against the French emperor Napoleon. Arthur worked hard and eventually got his command. He was going to fight the French. He was going to put down the French emperor. He was going to do it with his Prussian allies. Napoleon would eventually split the Prussian and British armies apart. Arthur was going to make his stand at Waterloo. Arthur will improvise  and only delay t

LORD of the FLIES

LORD of the FLIES has brought up some very interesting topics about humans. Lord of the Flies has made me wonder about what people truly are. If all order was removed, who would I be? Would I want to be a savage hunter or try to retain order and society. I think honestly; I would be a savage hunter.           When all the people leave Ralph and Piggy, I would join the bandwagon. I believe this would ensure my safety and have fun. Lord of the Flies makes me wonder what kind of person I truly am. It is easy for us to say Jack is the bad guy. I think if put in their situation; I would abandon all sense of order. Ralph, Piggy, and Simon are order in a world of chaos. Therefore, I think that all normal boys would put up with a gross tyrant for some meat and fun.
